Home gallery – living with art

Patrick has been dabbling in art from an early age, entering his first photo competition at age 12 and winning in the point and shoot category. He grew up under the influence of his mother’s art who has practiced in acrylic and pastel for most of his childhood. The two of them started exploring encaustics in the summer of 2012. Patrick started working in a professional capacity in Okinawa, Japan in 2006, creating prints of underwater collages he created from pictures taken in the East China Sea.

Currently Patrick lives, swims, and paints in Miami Beach, Florida. He aims to capture some of the vast beauty that is below the surface of the ocean and share that with the world.

With climate change devastating the planet including our coral reefs, Patrick hopes his art will help show people some of what is at stake if we don’t act to limit global warming and in attempts to help bring awareness to the undersea beauty at stake, starting in 2022, has decided to donate 5% of sales to the Coral Restoration Foundation. More information about their work can be found at https://www.coralrestoration.org/
